Tompkins Wake assists Eden Park with SIX60 concert
Monday 17 May, 2021
Tompkins Wake was delighted to assist The Eden Park Trust with negotiations and drafting of the Venue Hire Agreement for the first-ever concert held at Eden Park. SIX60 performed to a sold-out crowd of 50,000 concert goers with Sir Dave Dobbyn as part of the support artist roster.
Led by commercial Partner Scott Ratuki, our team navigated with Eden Park counsel the complexities associated with resource consent conditions/requirements under compressed timeframes to ensure SIX60 could perform at ANZAC weekend.
For more than 100 years, Eden Park has been the home to cricket and rugby. Its history is full of rich sporting moments, and now, iconic New Zealand bands. The Trust doesn’t plan on SIX60 being the last to perform either, having recently been granted a resource consent to host up to six concerts a year at the storied venue.
