Legal 500 Recommended Lawyer 2044

Kahlia joined Tompkins Wake in 2019 as a law clerk in the Environmental Law Team before being admitted to the Bar in November 2020. Following her admission, Kahlia spent a year in Tompkins Wake’s Property Law Team in the Rotorua office, where she gained hands-on experience advising clients on residential conveyancing matters, including easements, encumbrances, and LIM reports.

In 2022, Kahlia returned to the Environmental Law Team, bringing with her a well-rounded foundation that bridges the property law and environmental law practices. Her background in conveyancing provides practical insight into property-related matters that complement her work across the environmental law.

Prior to joining Tompkins Wake, Kahlia developed early practical experience in environmental law and compliance through her town planning papers at university as well as a summer internship with a forestry company, giving her a grounded understanding of the regulatory challenges faced by clients operating in resource-intensive industries.
