Danielle joined Tompkins Wake in 2026 as an Associate in the Corporate and Commercial team. She works on mergers and acquisitions transactions, corporate governance and structuring matters, and commercial contracting.
She brings an in-house perspective to private practice. She has previously spent over five years working at multinational media companies in London, including as Senior Legal Counsel at Time Out Group Plc, a UK AIM-listed media and hospitality group. She now advises New Zealand corporates with an in-house lawyer's instinct for risk: what a clause will cost the business to live with, not just what it takes to get the deal signed.
Danielle was admitted as a solicitor in 2018 and holds a conjoint LLB/BA from the University of Auckland.

Danielle has broad, varied experience, including:
- Advising on and drafting a range of commercial contracts, partnership and sponsorship agreements, intellectual property licensing, technology agreements such as SaaS and outsourcing, and agreements relating to the structure and operation of key projects;
- advising on privacy policies, data processing agreements and transfers;
- assisting on mergers and acquisitions transactions;
- assisting with preparing documentation relating to corporate structuring; and
- advising on directors’ duties.
