Cara Blom
Cara Blom is a law clerk based in Tompkins Wake’s Hamilton office and is currently completing her Bachelor of Laws at the University of Waikato. Cara joined the firm in 2024 to assist with the management of Tompkins Wake’s deeds, before being selected for the firm’s 2025/26 Summer Intern Programme. Through this experience, she has gained practical exposure to a range of client matters and developed a strong understanding of the firm’s systems and service standards.
In her role as Deeds Clerk, Cara is responsible for supporting the management and administration of Tompkins Wake’s deeds and client records.
Alongside her work and studies, Cara has represented the University of Waikato at a national level, winning the Buddle Findlay Senior Negotiation competition and being named a New Zealand Law Students’ Association national champion. She also represented the University at the 2025 ALSA National Conference in Canberra, where her team was awarded first place, reflecting her emerging strengths in advocacy, teamwork and leadership.
